Buster Posey is an American former professional baseball player who played for the San Francisco Giants for his entire twelve-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career, from 2009 until his retirement at the end of the 2021 season. His position on the field was a catcher. In the first round of the 2008 MLB draft, he was selected by the Giants with the fifth overall pick.
