Diane Swonk Biography

Diane Swonk is an American economist, financial commentator, and author. She is the chief economist at KPMG US and a member of the company’s Executive Committee. Swonk is also an adjunct professor at DePaul University’s Kellstadt School of Business.

Swonk is a frequent commentator on economic issues on national and international television and radio. She has written for numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. She is also the author of the book The Passionate Economist: Finding the Power and Humanity Behind the Numbers. She is married to John Trinta and they are blessed with two children.
